(Lafayette, LA) Mayor-President Monique B. Boulet has proudly announced the appointment of Tammy Luke as the new Director of Community Development & Planning. With an impressive background in development and planning, Tammy brings a wealth of experience to her new role.
Previously serving as the Director of Planning & Zoning for St. Mary Parish since February 2010, Tammy has demonstrated excellence in her field. She is a Certified Building Official (CBO) and has held various leadership positions within the Building Officials Association of Louisiana.
During her tenure in St. Mary Parish, Tammy effectively coordinated efforts across departments to ensure the success of various programs. Her responsibilities included staying updated on industry trends, facilitating collaborative decision-making processes, and monitoring progress against benchmarks.
Tammy's expertise extends to economic and legal aspects of zoning and building codes, as well as environmental regulations. She has supervised planning technicians, recommended approvals, and conducted interviews and site inspections.
In her new role at Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG), Tammy will utilize her extensive background to drive LCG's objectives forward. Mayor-President Boulet expressed excitement about Tammy's appointment, highlighting her dedication to community planning and development.
Tammy's strong work ethic and motivation make her an ideal fit for this critical role in Lafayette's development efforts. She will officially assume her new position on June 3, 2024.
